The Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer is responsible for ensuring that materials and components provided by external suppliers meet the required quality standards. This role involves conducting supplier audits, managing non-conformance issues, and collaborating with suppliers to improve their quality processes.ResponsibilitiesSupplier Audits: Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and resolve quality issues related to suppliers through root cause analysis and corrective actions.Quality Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of supplier performance, including defect rates and corrective actions.Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to resolve supplier quality issues.Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier quality.Training: Provide training and support to suppliers on quality standards and best practices.The role also requires proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949), mastery of quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D), and relevant experience in the automotive industry (5-10 years).
