Shift Manager

OverviewShift Manager position in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will join the manufacturing team to support the Production and Project Manager. After a period of training, you will be responsible for a team of shift employees, ensuring the achievement of plans and targets to achieve an efficient and cost-effective operation. The role focuses on the day-to-day management of the shift, with emphasis on production, and on leading and developing the team in accordance with local HR policies and corporate procedures. A safety-first approach is essential; experience with a continuous improvement mindset is advantageous. Attention to detail regarding quality is critical and must be upheld by the shift teams. Responsibilities Manage a team of shift employees during your rotation to meet production plans and targets. Drive safe operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Lead, develop, and performance-manage shift staff in line with local HR policies and corporate procedures. Collaborate with the Production and Project Manager to support manufacturing objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions to maintain product standards. Provide clear communication and feedback to employees and management. About you / Qualifications Likely to be an industrial or mechanical engineer with a passion for their work and a self-motivated approach to tasks. Strong man-management and communication skills; ability to manage communications with employees and managers alike. Experience in managing people in a manufacturing environment with high-speed and high-volume production. Intermediate level of English. Comprehensive training will be provided.
