Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 350 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.Your missionPrepare, design and execute tests for prototypes of opto-mechatronic systems, as well as the test data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting. Especially applied (but not limited to) space equipment.You use the testing equipment available and adapt it to specific tests, especially in the context of space qualification (e.g. use of thermal vacuum chambers, thermal chambers or shakers).This will also include a large design work for test equipment, assist in prototype development, operations etcExtending the capabilities of our test facilities or building entirely new test setups is part of your job.You provide input to the rest of the team from a testing perspective and feed their input backMust haveMSc in University Degree in electromechanical engineering (preferred), electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or similarOpen to juniors: no previous work experience required, but a strong motivation to learn and work on multidisciplinary tasks.Knowledge or experience/interest in environmental testingMeasurement concepts and tools and their application in practiceData acquisition and measurement automationData analysis, plotting and reportingKnowledge of a scripting language like Python, C++,…Hands-on abilities and adaption skills.Nice to haveExperience with optical components and systems: laser diodes, optical fibers (principles and handling), photodiodes…Interest in optical systemsExperience with thermal and vacuum, or vibration tests is beneficialExperience in space-oriented AITV processesGood organization and planification skillsWhat we offerBuild your own career pathDirect impact on the growth of the companyFast-paced environmentFlexible ways of workingSalary package consistent with your experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
