Qualifications
- Excellent attitude
- Completed secondary school (Canadian equivalency)
- Minimum 3 years of continuous and verifiable documented work experience as a long-haul truck driver in the past five years.
- Good English level (ability to speak, read and write English)
- French is a plus
- Clear criminal record
- Specific Skills: Operate and drive articulated trucks to transport goods and materials / Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment / Drive single or as part of a two-person team or convoy / Perform preventive maintenance /Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes / Load and unload goods / Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle / Receive and relay information to central dispatch / Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
