Gardener/Factotum job

For a forest property located near Lisieux (Calvados - 14), we are looking for a Gardener/Factotum (M/F) responsible for maintaining the grounds, ensuring the proper upkeep of equipment, and assisting the forestry worker.

This is a permanent position (CDI) available immediately. No accommodation is provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the property's surroundings (weeding, moss removal, blowing, sweeping, raking, etc.).
• Maintenance of green spaces and the garden (mowing, pruning, planting, topiary, watering, digging, hoeing, etc.).
• Monitoring plant health and growth, identifying diseases and managing treatment programmes.
• Maintenance of machinery and tools.
• Minor repairs and odd jobs (painting, varnishing, basic electrical work, etc.).
• Assistance to the forestry worker (wood cutting, forest maintenance, wood collection and storage, etc.).
• Reporting to the Estate Managers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar professional environment.
• Autonomous, dynamic and well‑organised.
• Good knowledge of plants and vegetation.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a small team.
• Discretion with regard to the employer.
• French‑speaking.
• Driving licence required.

Work conditions

• Contract Type: Permanent (CDI) – 35 hours/week
