Purpose of the Role The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and updating technical instructions and documentation related to the company's products. This documentation is intended for customers, users, and during commercial events. The role also involves participating in marketing activities and formatting support materials such as catalogues, technical sales brochures, videos, and animations. Labour Relations The Technical Writer reports hierarchically to the Research and Development Manager and collaborates with the marketing manager of the Stromag Europe division. They work closely with the design office team, sales managers, Product Management, and the plant manager on specific projects. External service providers like printers and translators may also be engaged. Key Activities Gather technical information from engineers and technicians to write and implement instructions for new and standard products, with review from relevant stakeholders. Coordinate translation of documents into English and other languages via external providers. Create new documents or media upon specific requests using advanced software tools. Update the Sime/Stromag catalogue annually. Write the R&D Newsletter bi-monthly. Format all printed and digital media, ensuring compliance with the group's graphic standards. Responsibilities and Scope Ensure all media (photos, videos, audio) are royalty-free and authorized. Publish documentation regularly on the intranet to keep it current. Manage numbering and indexing of communication media. Maintain rigorous presentation standards and consistency across documents. Professional Knowledge Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, electronic domains. Excellent writing skills in French. Knowledge of the company's graphic charter. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Experience with SolidWorks, Composer, Visualize, and After Effects for rendering, animations, and video editing. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Understanding of Nuclear Safety Culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
