PURPOSES OF THE USE
The position of technical writer is responsible for writing - and updating - technical instructions and in general all technical documentation associated with the products marketed by the company, for the attention of customers and users, or for commercial events
It participates in marketing activities related to the group, and formats marketing support materials (catalogues, technical sales brochures, videos and/or various animations)
LABOUR RELATIONS
Reporting hierarchically to the Research and Development Manager; works in collaboration with the marketing manager of the Stromag Europe division
Close collaboration with the members of the design office, the sales managers, the Product Management and the plant manager for specific projects
In punctual relations with external service providers (printers, translators, etc.)
DESCRIPTION OF SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES
Ensures the translation of these documents into English and other languages through external service providers as needed
Upon specific requests (for a special operation, a new presentation, etc.) creates new documents or media, using advanced means and/or software
Annual update of the Sime/Stromag catalogue
Bimonthly writing of the R&D Newsletter
RESPONSIBILITIES EXERCISED AND SCOPE FOR ACTION
Ensures that photos, videos, or audio tapes are royalty-free and that they come from an authorized soundtrack
Must ensure regular publication of documentation on the intranet to ensure that it is up-to-date
Performs numbering and managing indices for communication media
Must have a rigorous presentation and ensure consistency between the different documents
SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
Very good technical knowledge (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, electronic,...)
Writing skills (fluency in the French language)
Knowledge of the graphic charter
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack
Proficiency in the Adobe suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) for document layout
Knows how to use SolidWorks, masters Composer & Visualize for realistic renderings and animations, masters After Effect for video editing
English, Written and Spoken Read
