Position Summary

NexGuard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for user interface design and application development.

In this role, you will take a leading position in shaping the user experience of our products by driving the design and evolution of graphical user interfaces across both web-based services and desktop applications. Working closely with Product Management, customers, and fellow engineers, you will help define how users interact with our solutions and ensure that complex technical capabilities are delivered through intuitive, efficient, and modern interfaces.

You will join a highly collaborative engineering team that has worked together successfully for more than a decade, combining deep technical expertise with a strong culture of innovation, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, usability, and overall user experience of NexGuard's web and desktop applications.
• Partner with Product Management and engineering teams to define user workflows, interface concepts, and product experiences.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive, efficient, and visually compelling user experiences.
• Establish and promote UI best practices, consistency, and design standards across products.
• Contribute to the development and integration of NexGuard's watermarking technologies in C/C++.
• Develop and enhance automated testing and validation tools in Python to support product quality.
• Support customers and partners with technical integrations, adoption, and troubleshooting activities.
• Actively participate in Agile development processes, technical discussions, and product roadmap initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging UI/UX trends, software technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve NexGuard solutions.

Your Key Qualities and Skills

• M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience, with several years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
• Working knowledge of C/C++, Python, and software development on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile environment.
• Experience with UI/UX design practices, including prototyping, wireframing, and defining user workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based applications, media technologies (video/audio processing), or other technically complex software products.
