Position
The selected candidate will be responsible for the administrative and accounting activities of Ansaldo Nucleare’s French Branch, with a particular focus on administrative and management control aspects related to projects carried out in France. The role includes accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, periodic reporting, support during closing activities, and coordination of local tax obligations. The position requires strong operational autonomy, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a structured approach, ensuring reliable and continuous oversight of the Branch’s administrative needs. The role is set within an international environment, requiring fluent communication in French and English. Knowledge of Italian will be considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor general accounting activities in compliance with accounting standards and local regulations
- Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable, review customer/supplier contracts, and ensure the accuracy of accounting entries
- Perform accounting reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and reconciliations between balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and prepare the reporting required by the Head Office
- Oversee the main administrative operations of the Branch, ensuring alignment with company procedures
- Organize and manage accounting and administrative documentation, ensuring proper filing, classification, and traceability
- Support the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits, as well as inspections by local authorities
- Collaborate continuously with the Management Control team to analyze variances between actuals, forecasts and budget
- Coordinate tax-related activities in France in collaboration with Ansaldo’s tax advisor
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and support payroll management
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Solid experience in accounting and administrative roles, preferably within structured and international organizations
- Operational expertise in French accounting and good knowledge of local tax regulations
- High level of accuracy, reliability, and strong focus on compliance and data quality
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, and daily tasks
- Strong command of Excel; familiarity with ERP systems - particularly SAP is appreciated
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
Required Languages
- Fluent French (spoken and written) - mandatory
- Fluent English (spoken and written) - mandatory
- Italian - considered a plus
Other Information
- For this position, the initial annual gross salary will be not less than 50000€
