We provide brands and marketplaces with an AI solution that helps them create and edit their product images in a few seconds and at scale, all while delivering the best quality on the market.Position OverviewLocalisation: Paris (France)Diffusely is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our 12 person Fashion team working on AutoRetouch. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee two engineers and shape the technical vision, architecture and reliability of the backend infrastructure that powers our image creation and enhancement AI solution. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate high fashion standards into robust technical solutions, driving innovation in fashion imagery.About UsOur Fashion team is not just innovating, we\'re reimagining the future of fashion imagery. Join us, and let\'s redefine what\'s possible in fashion.What you\'ll do:Team Leadership and Development: Lead 2 engineers, ensuring effective onboarding, continuous training, and performance management. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.Hands-On Technical Leadership (Backend): Directly engage in coding and problem-solving, embody a "lead by example" approach to uphold high standards and foster innovation within the team.Code Quality: Promote and ensure the production of clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Mentor team members in adhering to best coding practices.Ownership and Management: Own critical components (APIs, pipelines, features), ensuring reliability and integrity. Provide technical support to teams and deliver quick wins without disrupting key projects.Delivery & Quality: Ensure timely project delivery with consistent, high-quality outcomes, while maintaining a sustainable workload through effective prioritization, delegation, and time management.Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of your department, ensuring judicious distribution of resources.Product Creation: Work hand-in-hand with the product team to translate tech potentials into impactful, market-ready offerings.Qualifications/SkillsMinimum of 5+ years in engineering and 1+ years in management.Expert Python, and hands-on knowledge of Linux (system, networking).OpenCV proficiency with hands-on experience manipulating images and video (e.g. segmentation, transforms, masking, compositing).Experience with SQL databases and queue-based processing.Good understanding of industry practices: architectures, protocols, containers, security.Experience with developing, operating, and monitoring cloud solutions (We are on AWS).Practical knowledge on proper source code management, documentation, test pipelines, and CI/CD.Team player with proactive approach and high sensibility for quality.English skills on a working proficiency level.Hiring processA first call with a member of our Talent Acquisition Team.A video call with our AI Engineering Manager.Technical assessment on Python that reflects (Q&A).An on-site interview with our CTO and a Product Manager. #J-18808-Ljbffr
