Electrical Engineer R&D Location : Bordeaux, FranceStart Date : December 1, 2025Contract Type : Freelance / ConsultingDuration : 12 Months (Renewable)Context We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major industrial project involving advanced electrical systems. The role focuses on designing and validating electrical architectures integrating high‑power LV / MV equipment.Main ResponsibilitiesAnalyze requirements and existing technical specifications.Prepare supplier consultation packages and monitor responses.Validate electrical architecture and communication systems with manufacturers.Act as the primary technical contact during supplier discussions.Develop a decision matrix (technical, economic, schedule criteria).Review technical proposals and provide recommendations.Contribute to qualification and certification strategy.Report regularly to the technical lead.ProfileEducation: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience: Minimum 10 years in industrial LV electrical installations design.Key Skills:Strong knowledge of IEC and UL standards.Ability to analyze manufacturers’ technical offers.Fluent English (spoken and written).Excellent communication skills with suppliers.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of MV equipment (switchgear, RMU).Familiarity with power distribution and transmission networks.Certification: Electrical clearance H0V minimum.DeliverablesNeeds analysis report.Supplier consultation package.Decision matrix with justification.Technical meeting minutes.Final report with recommendations.With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining andManufacturingsectors worldwide.
