Our values guide us: Serve with Integrity - Collaborate with Humility - Grow with Agility - Innovate with Impact.The OpportunityThe role of Field Service Engineer sits within our Protein business and is dedicated to servicing our customers 24/7, including assembly, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and supporting new projects. Reporting to our Aftermarket Service Manager, you will work with colleagues based in Scotland and Sweden, serving customers across all of our protein machinery. On a typical day you may: provide site support using your electrical and mechanical skills; manage installations, provide service and visit reports and technical support for our machinery; advise customers on maintenance, spare parts and upgrades; identify trends with machinery and share these with your manager; train customers on maintenance, operation, safety and cleaning of the machinery; work with our aftermarket team to implement aftermarket activities; identify additional machinery and/or services we could provide to customers and share these with our sales team so they can act quickly.ResponsibilitiesProvide site support using Electrical & Mechanical skillsManage installations, service visits, reports and technical support for machineryAdvise customers on maintenance, spare parts and upgradesIdentify trends with machinery and communicate findings to managementTrain customers on maintenance, operation, safety and cleaning of the machineryCollaborate with the aftermarket team to implement aftermarket activitiesIdentify potential additional machinery or services and share with the sales teamQualifications5 years' experience in machine servicing (candidates with less experience will be considered)BTS maintenance industrielle is a great qualificationKnowledge of food industry equipment (freezers, fryers, ovens, processing lines) is a bonusPLC knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, MOVEX; familiarity with SalesForce and Word/ExcelFlexibility to travel and to work flexible hours – minimum of 24 weekends per year (Sat/Sun)Excellent written and verbal skills in French and English (fluent French required for this role)Travel & LocationThis role is remote and can be located in any of, or between, the following areas in France: Le Havre, Paris, Brittany, Saint-Nazaire and Nantes, due to the geographic location of our customers.Benefits13 months of salary with the bonus month paid into summer and Christmas wages5 weeks annual leaveSalary Sacrifice pensionHealthcare – the business pays 60%, you pay 40%Group Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program and access to Health & Wellbeing platformCompany car, laptop and phoneCommitment to Diversity & Equal OpportunityDiversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging are fundamental values at JBT and critical to our future success.
