Our Global R&D team comprises 1,650 researchers across 14 research centres worldwide, aiming to continuously improve the quality of steel and manufacturing processes. You will join the Metallic Coatings and Surfaces (MCS) cluster, part of the Product Research Centre. The cluster, consisting of about 80 people, focuses on mastering and developing metallic coatings, surface treatments, and innovative processes, including corrosion resistance, surface analysis, coating behavior/characterization, and the hot‑dip galvanizing process. Your role Develop and use models for process knowledge and technology. Manage trials on lab pilots with technicians. Organise industrial trials and interpret results. Coordinate exchanges with plants to propose industrial line adaptations. Benchmark existing solutions within the ArcelorMittal group and at competitors/suppliers. Your profile Master’s degree with general technical education and specialization in fluid mechanics and thermal science; PhD thesis is a plus. Knowledge in programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB). Fluent in French and English. Team player with good communication skills. Rigorous and autonomous.
