Job Summary
CROWN Bevcan France SAS is seeking a skilled Front End Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of machinery and equipment within our manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute routine preventative maintenance on front-end production machinery, including but not limited to presses, scroll shears, and associated conveyors.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Perform adjustments and calibrations to machinery for optimal performance and product quality.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control systems related to mechanical functions.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Vocational diploma or equivalent in mechanical maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Front End Mechanic or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the packaging or metal forming industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
