Smart Impulse represents the evolution of a graduation project into a dedicated entrepreneurial venture.

Since its inception, Charles and Henri, our founders, have aimed to transform energy management in buildings.

We specialize in advanced electrical measurement technologies that are user-friendly, enabling us to analyze energy consumption from a single measurement point using our patented algorithms (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring NILM). This allows us to determine the energy usage of various equipment within a building, including lighting, heating, IT, and ventilation.

By analyzing this data, building managers in the commercial sector can identify and monitor energy savings.

With our solutions currently implemented in over 3,500 buildings across 50 countries, we are poised for significant growth and aim to set the standard for electrical consumption monitoring.

ROLE CONTEXT

To facilitate our expansion, we seek an engineer to analyze the energy usage of our clients' commercial properties across 40 countries. Utilizing Smart Impulse's algorithmic technology, your goal will be to assist clients in comprehending their electricity consumption by end-use and provide tailored support to achieve their energy efficiency objectives.

You will collaborate with a team of 22 specialists and report to Anthony, our Head of Projects & Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will encompass a blend of data analysis, project oversight, client support, and technical expertise:

  • Conduct assessments of client buildings to understand their operations, energy consumption, and gather information on the equipment present.
  • Utilize our innovative algorithms to analyze data and provide clients with a detailed breakdown of energy usage, accessible through Smart Impulse's platform.
  • Assist clients by presenting their building's consumption profile and offering quantified recommendations for energy savings.
  • Regularly monitor the electrical consumption trends of buildings in your portfolio, highlighting issues such as malfunctioning equipment or potential energy savings.
  • Engage directly with clients to address inquiries throughout the contract duration and conduct annual reviews to discuss yearly consumption trends.
  • Contribute to project success by collaborating with a customer success manager and a sales manager, sharing operational tasks and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback from clients to suggest enhancements for our technology and tools, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our solutions.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

> 1 year: Depending on your skills and aspirations, you may take on complex or strategic projects and contribute to international initiatives.

> 2 years: You could manage intricate projects and oversee deliverables with junior engineers, while also engaging in continuous improvement missions for the Energy Efficiency team.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's Degree in energy efficiency, energy, building, electrical engineering, or climate engineering.
  • HVAC systems and energy efficiency: Strong knowledge of building systems (heating, HVAC, lighting) and a solid understanding of electrical consumption.
  • Electrical Engineering: Proficient in electricity metrics (current, voltage, active and reactive power) and capable of interpreting electrical diagrams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Languages: Fluent in English for international projects, with professional proficiency in French. Additional languages (Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese) are a plus.
  • Experience: Background in building energy efficiency, energy auditing, and project management is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues, and effective communication in English and French.
  • Client-focused and solution-oriented: Ability to listen to client needs and devise appropriate solutions.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Standard Benefits:

  • Annual salary ranging from €37,000 to €45,000 gross based on experience.
  • Performance-based variable compensation up to €5,000 annually.
