About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal System Engineering Architect to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our Intelligent Edge organization, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and platforming programs for our Business Units and Lines of Business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of our Software Defined Edge Control (SDEC) program.
  • Work closely with client programs to define end-to-end architecture and select appropriate technologies.
  • Collaborate with Architects and POs to integrate SDEC deliverables into existing platforms.
  • Develop and maintain strong expertise in virtualization and networking technologies, with a focus on Linux execution environments.
  • Lead the development of reference architectures and assess their feasibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with industrial application level standards, such as IEC 61850 and OPC UA.
Requirements
  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Computer Science and System Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in complex industrial systems with real-time and/or safety constraints.
  • Excellent knowledge of embedded software development (RTOS, Linux).
  • Strong knowledge of system engineering best practices and related methodologies & tools.
  • Strong C/C++ development skills.
  • Strong networking experience.
  • Experience in cyber security, particularly in the industrial domain.
