Job Description

LIGENTEC is a dynamic European company with a strong presence in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Paris, France. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for high-tech industries such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies, and Biosensors.

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades on servers and network devices.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Create, configure, and manage virtual machines.
  • Monitor and optimize VM performance for efficient resource use.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VM-related issues.
  • Administer and support specialized production software, including installation and license management.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Ensure regular data backups and enforce security procedures against threats.
  • Support IT architecture strategy and develop automation interfaces between business applications.
  • Conduct regular security awareness training.
  • Manage the ticketing system and provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, offering training and assistance as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of servers, networks, security practices, and both bare-metal & cloud computing.
  • Proficiency in managing and administering virtual machines.
  • Expertise in MacOS, Google Workspace, RHEL, installation, licensing, and user account management.
  • Experience in IT security, threat detection, and mitigation.
  • Prior experience managing a ticketing system and technical support.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective end-user training and support.
