Senior Subsea Engineer

AqualisBraemar LOC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Subsea Engineer to join our Owner Engineering team in France. As a key member of our team, you will work on pipeline and cable installation projects for our clients in the offshore renewable sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing project management and quality control support
  • Assisting the project team with technical document reviews for load-out, sea transportation, and offshore installation activities
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the agreed technical standards, current industry codes, contract requirements, and with timely invoicing
  • Assisting with the preparation of business development bids in conjunction with the Project Director
  • Collaborating with other disciplines and members of the AqualisBraemar LOC regarding operational and specialist matters
  • Proposing and developing new business initiatives

This position will be based in Paris, and you must have the right to live and work in France. We do accommodate remote and hybrid working, and offshore attendance will be required on occasions.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven background as a Subsea Engineer and experience working on either oil & gas or renewables projects. Ideally, you will have:

  • An Engineering degree qualified in one of the following disciplines: Naval Architect, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Experience at sea (offshore, quayside, and on vessel) is mandatory
  • Relevant engineering track record for offshore transportation and installation, including experience offshore during marine operations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Loadout, Installation, and Transportation methods, Codes of Practice, Rules, and Guidelines (DNVGL-ST-N001)
  • Fluency in English and French
