About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading operational teams on a shift, dealing with issues, and positively impacting site performance. You will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of Area Managers, analyzing shift performance against relevant business objectives, and putting in place actions to improve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to drive operational excellence.
  2. Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance.
  3. Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and put in place actions to improve operational excellence.
  4. Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security.
  5. Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance.
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, working closely with other teams to drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching your team, providing leadership and support to help them achieve their goals.

About the Team

Amazon's Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a central role in our success, using air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. A degree in a relevant field.
  2. Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management.
  3. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  4. Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  5. Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  2. Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  3. Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
