Job Title:

A400M MRO Technical Services Manager position available at Airbus Defence & Space in a challenging role that requires expertise in aircraft maintenance and repair.

This position is located in Orléans, within the Airbus Defence & Space team at the French Air Force military base. The successful candidate must be available to work full-time.

Airbus Defence and Space has been selected by the French Ministry of Defense to support the French A400M fleet. Services in France are divided between two sites. An Airbus Service Center has been set up at the main operational base of the A400M in Orléans for general services focused on day-to-day operations, and later, a second site was established in SIAé Clermont-Ferrand, the MRO selected by the French Air Force for conducting the main C-Checks of the A400M.

The position holder reports hierarchically to the A400M MRO services manager in Clermont-Ferrand and functionally to the organization of Airbus Defence & Space / Military Aircraft customer support representatives.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Aircraft Maintenance and Repair: Supporting SIAé personnel in aircraft troubleshooting, assisting them in improving their processes and skills in A400M maintenance (including the use of all A400M ISS computer tools/systems),
  • C-Checks and Aircraft Incidents Investigations: Assisting in C-Checks aircraft incidents investigations,
  • Technical Requests Management: Managing technical requests raised by SIAé and supporting their resolution in coordination with AMTAC,
  • Communication and Coordination: Bringing added value and acting as a bidirectional filter function between AMTAC and SIAé in communications,
  • Request Handling and Solution Proposal: Ensuring requests sent by SIAé are properly handled and that solutions proposed by ADS reflect real needs,
  • Technical Meetings and Supplier Coordination: Organizing technical meetings between SIAé and AMTAC and suppliers whenever misalignment is detected between AMTAC proposal and SIAé needs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A400M Type Qualification: A400M type qualification would be a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: At least 10 years of prior experience as an expert in a technical field such as A400M system design or integration, A380, or FAL control and reception testing, or flight test support (MAP), or line maintenance on A380 or A400M.
  • Maintenance Control Center Expertise: Expertise within a maintenance control center would be a plus.
  • Aircraft MRO Management: Familiar with aircraft MRO management under Part 145 regulations or equivalent military regulations (FRA/EMAR 145).
  • Electronic Data Processing Systems: Ability to work with highly integrated electronic data processing systems.
  • Airnav and AMASIS: Familiar with the use of Airnav and knowledge of AMASIS or equivalent software mandatory.
  • Customer Support: Highly motivated in customer support.
Language Requirements:

The successful candidate must be fluent in French and proficient in English. Intermediate level of Spanish is also required.
