Position Overview

Are you a seasoned Field Service Engineer seeking a stimulating opportunity to influence the future trajectory of your organization?

This role is remote-based within the EMEA region, preferably in Paris, France.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Field Service Engineering, you will deliver both remote and on-site assistance for pre-sales and post-sales operations, leveraging your strong practical and analytical skills.


Key Responsibilities


• Assist Lunaphore and clients in effectively operating and maintaining the equipment.


• Diagnose issues and devise solutions to resolve them.


• Install, maintain, and evaluate equipment for optimal performance and safety.


• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of all technical facets of the product, encompassing both hardware and software.


• Conduct basic staining assays on the equipment for testing protocols (training will be provided).


• Collaborate with the technical team to enhance product quality and functionality.


• Document and monitor all details and feedback from customer interactions.


• Relay customer experiences to the team through comprehensive reports and presentations.


• Strive for results by consistently meeting objectives and ensuring timely completion of tasks.


• This role entails frequent travel at short notice, potentially up to 80%.


Qualifications


• Minimum of 3 years' experience in field service engineering within life sciences research, diagnostics, or medical devices.


• Relevant qualifications in Microsystems, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, or Microscopy Optics.


• Practical experience with basic laboratory techniques is preferred.


• Proficient in troubleshooting and root cause analysis; experience in IT support for software and hardware is advantageous.


• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role, including working with heavy and complex equipment in confined spaces.


• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential; additional language skills, particularly in Italian and French, are a plus.


• Enjoy engaging with clients, providing advice and solutions, and demonstrating excellent customer service abilities.


• Hands-on problem solver with a proactive approach.


• Possess a valid driving license.


• Competent in managing technical tasks in the field with minimal supervision.


• Skilled in interpreting technical issues based on customer descriptions.


• Adaptable to a dynamic work environment.


• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, sharing information with colleagues and supervisors.


• Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical skills, strong organizational abilities, punctuality, and attention to detail.
