Role Context:
The Technology and Technical Support (T&TS) division is dedicated to providing sustainable and efficient solutions across various domains, including Oil & Biomass Hydroprocessing, Petrochemicals, Gas and Water Treatment, and CO2 capture. This division is responsible for ensuring performance in our clients' units and maintaining our competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market.
The Technologist role is pivotal, bridging technical support for sales, enhancing client performance, and steering R&D initiatives to secure long-term competitiveness.
Main Responsibilities:
As part of the Acid Gas & Hydrate Inhibition Technology team, your primary focus will be on:
- Crafting technical proposals for bids related to Process Design Packages (PDP) in areas such as Gas Sweetening, MEG Regeneration, CO2 Capture, and Sulfur Recovery. This includes defining performance metrics, operating conditions, and technical guarantees, along with preliminary equipment sizing and cost estimations.
- Maintaining ongoing technical relationships with clients through performance analysis, site visits, and troubleshooting.
- Collecting and synthesizing knowledge related to your processes, including operational feedback.
- Providing technical support to sales teams, promoting technologies through marketing initiatives, publications, and presentations.
- Developing insights into various markets and project stakeholders.
- Contributing to the enhancement of the LCSG Group's offerings by proposing improvements.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering design for sulfur recovery, MEG recovery, or gas sweetening.
- A strong interest in Gas Treatment Technologies and CO2 Capture.
- Experience in R&D activities and proficiency in equipment sizing and simulation software (e.g., ProII, Hysis) is advantageous.
- Fluency in English or French is essential.
- Willingness to travel internationally for short durations is required.
