Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Junior Manager to support our Royalties team in Paris. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with the Finance Department and Head Office Royalty Department, allocating cashbooks and income type for SAP, and providing incoming statements for our Head Office in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Finance Department and Head Office Royalty Department to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
- Allocate cashbooks and income type for SAP to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide incoming statements for our Head Office in Berlin to facilitate timely payment processing.
- Assist with royalty processing, reviewing matches, and releasing error and suspense files to ensure accurate payment distribution.
- Handle invoice requests for incoming royalty statements to ensure timely payment processing.
- Administer the Client Royalty Portal myBMG to provide a seamless user experience.
- Manage tax exemption matters to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Execute all formalities related to calculation and distribution to interested parties, including statement printing, distribution, and payment request.
- Work closely with producers' societies (SCPP & SPPF) on distribution matters, repertoire registration, sales declarations, and advances to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- A degree in business or finance to provide a solid foundation in financial management.
- Professional experience in the music business to understand industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Strong service orientation and project management skills to ensure effective collaboration and task management.
- Familiarity with SAP and Excel to ensure seamless data management and analysis.
- A structured, well-organized, and reliable working style to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Ability to stay on track and calm on busy days or in stressful situations to ensure effective crisis management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating in an international environment to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Fluency in French and English to ensure seamless communication with stakeholders.
- Ability to come up with new ideas and novel approaches to problems to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
- Passion for music, our artists, and co-shaping our company's culture to ensure a positive and engaging work environment.
