Portfolio Manager Operations Specialist

The Portfolio Manager Operations role at SCOR oversees the administration of insurance and/or reinsurance accounts and contracts, ensuring seamless execution and compliance. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining contractual data, processing insurance and/or reinsurance account bookings, claims handling, and managing related cash flow.
Key Responsibilities- Enter and modify entries (treaties and/or facultative) in the Accounting and Underwriting system/platforms.
- Accurately enter T&Cs (Terms and Conditions) into the accounting system.
- Review contractual T&Cs, submit them to Underwriters for signature, and draw attention to ambiguities or changes.
- Process accounts and claims advices, and clarify discrepancies with underwriters/claim experts/cedents/brokers.
- Independently manage a portfolio with medium to complex accounts, solving complex problems or those without precedent.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues.
- Foster knowledge sharing with other colleagues to reach solutions.
- Manage cash flow, including setting up client bank accounts in the accounting system, processing outgoing/incoming payments, and following up on pending payments and open balances.
- Perform ICS controls according to relevant guidelines and support Underwriters in their performance.
- Monitor client accounts/statistics using internal reports, perform data analysis, and support stakeholders with reports and statistics.
- Ensure compliance with sanctions and embargos by scanning respective lists and forwarding to Underwriter/Legal for further investigation if needed.
- Ensure completeness and proper filing of underwriting, accounting, and claims documentation in the DMS.
- Maintain good communication with clients through internal and external meetings and workshops as required.
- Be accountable for internal and external audit purposes.
- At least 5 years of experience in the industry (re-/insurance) accounting and underwriting assistance and/or controlling.
- Advanced MS Office skills, with a focus on MS Excel and Power Query.
- Business Objects skills are beneficial.
- Power Bi and Tableau skills are beneficial.
