Position OverviewIn the role of Community Engagement Coordinator, you will work within the local democracy department, directly reporting to the leadership team. Your primary focus will be to inspire and facilitate resident participation in various civic initiatives. This includes promoting active involvement in public policy implementation and creating synergies among different citizen engagement platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and execution of the city's participatory democracy framework.
- Organize and streamline neighborhood councils in partnership with local organizations.
- Launch and oversee participatory initiatives such as citizen councils, workshops, and community visits.
- Support elected representatives in managing and animating participatory projects.
- Encourage collaboration among services to enhance resident involvement in democratic processes.
Essential Qualities:
