Apero Congo, a trendy new restaurant bar in Congo - Brazzaville, is seeking a dynamic Food and Beverage Operations Manager. This establishment features a fusion bistronomic cuisine, a vibrant atmosphere, and regular events, quickly becoming the go-to venue in Brazzaville.
Career Growth Opportunities: The potential for advancement includes the opening of a specialty restaurant within a group that already operates a hotel and three other dining establishments.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional in the hospitality industry, eager for new experiences and open to relocating. Responsibilities include maintaining the venue's image and market positioning, creating a festive and elegant ambiance, ensuring exceptional customer service, fostering client loyalty, managing operations and events alongside the executive chef, and driving revenue through regular events, new menus, and innovative concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and bar management.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and hospitality.
- Train and develop the team.
- Collaborate with bartenders to create new cocktail offerings.
- Work with the Executive Chef to develop daily specials and new menu items.
- Plan, organize, and promote new events.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and suppliers, reflecting the company's image.
- Manage bar orders and supervise kitchen supply orders.
- Assist with accounting and cost control.
- Handle cash management and revenue tracking.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in French: Level C1 or C2.
- Availability within 30 days of offer acceptance.
- 10 years of experience in dining and bar settings at upscale venues.
- 3 years of experience in managing a festive bar or restaurant.
- 3 years as a head waiter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of mixology and bartending.
- Understanding of gastronomy.
- Experience in event planning.
- Previous international work experience, particularly in Africa.
- Experience in cost management.
- Immediate availability.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Net salary of 3500 EUR per month.
- Accommodation in a furnished studio on-site or contribution towards off-site housing.
- Complimentary meals at the restaurant and a 50% discount at other outlets.
- Expatriate contract for single individuals; family coverage is not included.
