Research Engineer Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an intern in the field of electrical engineering, specifically in the area of high voltage direct current (HVDC) grid development.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to HVDC grid coordination, including transient simulations using the EMTP tool, and proposing rules and recommendations for insulation coordination.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of experts in the field, and to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the integration of renewable energies into the electricity networks of the future.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct bibliographic studies and state-of-the-art on insulation coordination for HVDC systems
- Get started with EMT software for insulation coordination (EMTP courses)
- Model HVDC system elements (HVDC converter, transmission line and fault modeling)
- Perform simulations to calculate transient overvoltages within an HVDC multi-terminal DC grid for different scenarios
- Identify possible rules and recommendations for insulation coordination
- Master or engineering school student in the last year of her/his studies
- Good knowledge of electrical engineering, power network, transmission lines
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Participation in meal expenses (company restaurant)
