Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Completion Engineer to join our team at Perenco. As a key member of our Completion Engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and assuring the technical integrity of completion designs, work-over operations, and testing & completions operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize completion designs in collaboration with key G&G Well Engineering and Production staff.
  • Provide assurance that completion designs meet Perenco's policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze performance associated with WO & completion activities and identify potential improvements.
  • Supervise and participate in the training of Junior Completion Engineers and WO supervisors at HQ and subsidiary levels.
  • Supervise completion operations on site for specific critical well/subsurface equipment installation.

Key Objectives

  • Contribute to well proposals and well design at early well planning stages.
  • Coordinate with G&G and Eng functions to establish feasibility of expectations and technical limitations of completions.
  • Evaluate completion options and provide recommendations.
  • Review and recommend sand control strategies.
  • Estimate budgets and costs for completion operations.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Review offset well data and ensure technical integrity of completion designs.
  • Design and optimize completion components, tubing sizing, and stress analysis.
  • Conduct sand face completion design and sanding studies.
  • Review production chemistry and completion metallurgy.
  • Select reservoir drilling and completion fluids.
  • Estimate costs for budget and AFE preparation.

Performance Improvement

  • Control and manage end-of-well report documents and data storage.
  • Evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Issue specific engineering reports and recommendations.
  • Develop Perenco completion and well services procedures and guidelines.

Subsidiary Support

  • Review completion and WO program performance by subsidiaries.
  • Provide technical assistance to subsidiaries on specific projects.
  • Supervise completion jobs on site when required.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
