Job Description
The Engineered Systems (ES) Africa Sales Leader will be responsible for implementing the company's strategy and sales plan/target in Africa.
The individual will be leading VWTS ES sales managers in Africa, additionally will be personally responsible for the existing client base and growth of the business in French speaking North African countries.
The Africa Sales Leader along with their team will be responsible for managing and growing the customer base primarily through indirect channels as well as selected direct sales to key end users, selling the value of VWTS technologies and solutions, including membranes and filters, skid mounted equipment and other products.
Also, promoting company's technologies to end users, consultants and EPC companies at early stage of the projects to develop a strong pipeline of projects in Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieving and exceeding sales and growth targets in Africa by promoting, specifying and selling VWTS portfolio of technologies through indirect and selected direct channels,
- Proactively developing and securing business in Africa in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater sector,
- Developing a strong pipeline of project opportunities in Africa containing VWTS core technologies and solutions,
- Manage Channel Partners' relationship and identify and onboard new channel partners as needed to support growth of VWTS Product sales in African countries and market verticals,
- Negotiating and closing profitable contracts in line with VWTS processes and guidelines in a timely and efficient manner,
- Developing strong professional and strategic relationships with engineering consultants, EPC companies, end users as well as key regional or sector influencers such as leading governmental and industrial sectors, other related firms, industry associations, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar,
- Minimum 10 years of technical experience in water/wastewater treatment field,
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years sales experience in Africa in water & wastewater treatment market with a broad contact list of end users, EPC companies, plant operators, maintenance companies, and relevant potential clients,
- Demonstrated experience in selling water and wastewater membranes and equipment in the water and wastewater treatment industry,
- Demonstrated ability in promoting and selling Products through distributors and resellers in the water and wastewater treatment market,
- Demonstrated ability to manage in matrix environment/organization and working as a team member,
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales target and schedule commitments,
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels of customer organization,
- Strong communication and leadership skills,
- Experience working with senior client representatives, government officials,
- Ability to travel to meet customers within the assigned region without any restrictions,
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English, French and Arabic,
- Enhanced computer skills, preferably with Google suite.
