Africa Sales Director

Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional to lead our Africa sales team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing our sales strategy and plan in Africa, leading our sales managers in the region, and growing our customer base through indirect and direct channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets in Africa.
  • Proactively develop and secure business in Africa in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater sector.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of project opportunities in Africa containing Veolia's core technologies and solutions.
  • Manage Channel Partners' relationship and identify and onboard new channel partners as needed to support growth of Veolia's Product sales in African countries and market verticals.
  • Negotiate and close profitable contracts in line with Veolia's processes and guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop strong professional and strategic relationships with engineering consultants, EPC companies, end users as well as key regional or sector influencers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical experience in water/wastewater treatment field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years sales experience in Africa in water & wastewater treatment market with a broad contact list of end users, EPC companies, plant operators, maintenance companies, and relevant potential clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling water and wastewater membranes and equipment in the water and wastewater treatment industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in promoting and selling Products through distributors and resellers in the water and wastewater treatment market.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage in matrix environment/organization and working as a team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales target and schedule commitments.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of customer organization.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with senior client representatives, government officials.
  • Ability to travel to meet customers within the assigned region without any restrictions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English, French and Arabic.
  • Enhanced computer skills, preferably with Google suite.
