Engineering Manager for Bio-methane and Biogas Project H/F

Aventa is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering efforts for the design, construction, and operation of bio-methane and biogas production facilities. As part of a major initiative to standardize and scale production processes, we are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the engineering team across all disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) to deliver on the bio-methane and biogas production project goals.
- Oversee the design, engineering, and execution phases of the project, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all engineering activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination between design teams, project management, and construction teams.
- Develop and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and project plans, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and codes, including NF EN standards and Eurocodes.
- Manage engineering resources and ensure that engineering activities are scheduled and executed in alignment with the project's overall timeline and milestones.
- Provide technical leadership in risk management, identifying potential engineering challenges, and implementing solutions to mitigate project risks.
- Ensure all engineering designs are optimized for efficiency, safety, and sustainability, particularly in relation to the environmental impact of bio-methane and biogas production.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for all engineering deliverables, ensuring that designs meet safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure that all engineering work complies with legal and industry standards.
- Support the commissioning and startup of the bio-methane and biogas production facilities, providing engineering expertise during these critical phases.
- Manage the engineering budget, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed within the allocated resources and cost constraints.
- Monitor and forecast the level of activity and for the submission of offers. He/she will ensure the technical validation of offers with the support of the technical referents of each discipline.
- Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering team.
- Strong background in process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and automation engineering for industrial projects.
- Experience leading engineering teams on complex industrial projects, preferably within the energy, gas, or renewable energy sectors.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale engineering projects, from conceptual design through execution and commissioning.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Expertise in engineering standards and codes, including NF EN, Eurocodes, and relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience managing projects in compliance with ATEX standards and other regulatory frameworks applicable to biogas and methane production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying and mitigating risks in engineering projects.
- Ability to manage technical risks related to design, construction, and commissioning of production facilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
