Role Responsibilities:
The Lamination Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the daily functions of various production processes, including Wall Process, CTL Machines, CTW Machine, Custom Mat Production, Safety Grid, Electronic Cutter, Scored Roll, and Material Handling. This position is vital in ensuring that production aligns with established quality and quantity benchmarks. The Supervisor collaborates closely with other departmental leaders, including Area Supervisors, Warehouse Manager, Purchasing Department, Production Scheduler, Quality Assurance Manager, and Engineering, to uphold efficient workflows and foster effective communication across all sectors.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role serves as a stepping stone for career advancement, with opportunities for growth within the organization over the next few years as you contribute to our collective objectives.
Key Duties:
Oversee and coordinate the activities of the Lamination Department to meet quality, quantity, service, cost, and safety targets. Delegate daily tasks and prioritize workflow for each area. Address work-related issues and propose solutions to enhance productivity and product quality, including initiating machinery repairs. Complete daily production reports and ensure compliance with ISO standards within the area of responsibility. Operate forklifts as needed. Acquire knowledge of all positions within the department and understand the interconnections of those roles. Train and supervise employees, including temporary staff, ensuring safe and efficient job performance. Maintain positive employee relations and enforce adherence to company policies and safety standards, taking disciplinary actions when necessary. Manage employee records, including vacation requests, performance evaluations, and overtime scheduling. Keep accurate records and reports, such as daily logs, purchase requisitions, work orders, injury reports, and special projects. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality procedures while maintaining good housekeeping practices. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.Required Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred. Basic understanding of plastic materials and manufacturing processes. A minimum of 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting. Proven mechanical aptitude through formal training or practical experience in military or industry.Preferred Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Highly motivated, organized, and adept at problem-solving, with the capacity to coordinate multiple priorities. Successful completion of the inter-company forklift driver training program.Compensation and Benefits:
