About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to join our team at the 25hours Hotel One Central. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, leading our wait staff, and ensuring seamless service operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and delegate tasks to the team during shifts, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Conduct thorough preparations before and during shifts to guarantee a smooth service experience.
- Monitor progress and delivery of tasks, maintaining high quality standards.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate new and existing staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Promote featured menu items, seasonal specials, and signature cocktails to guests, utilizing product knowledge and suggestive selling strategies.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints and questions, providing exceptional customer service.
- Evaluate staffing requirements per shift and make informed decisions when staffing needs change.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient task completion and timely service delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, advising the restaurant manager on required materials.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service operations and address any issues promptly.
- Conduct thorough shift handovers to inform colleagues about important events and tasks.
- Inform management of VIP guest visits and ensure menus are handled properly.
- Ensure all employees adhere to health and safety standards and HACCP guidelines.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry, with a focus on restaurant and bar operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and management.
- Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, reservations software, and other restaurant and bar management tools.
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business operations.
- Certification in food safety and alcohol awareness is preferred.
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine, along with familiarity with bar equipment and techniques, is an advantage.
