About the Role
Datadog is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead the Workflow App team, a critical component of our Workflows product. As the manager of this team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire user experience, from product direction to technical leadership, while developing and growing a team of talented engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and cultivate a team of engineers, including performance management and career development
- Partner with Product, internal and external stakeholders to shape our integration roadmap
- Own the full development lifecycle and operation of our integrations
- Drive the UI development of the state-of-the-art Workflow Builder, as well as all UI aspects related to the Workflow Automation product
- Define what "next level Workflow experience" means by partnering with UX designers and Product managers to create an engaging experience that solves real customer problems
Requirements
- You have successfully led diverse and inclusive engineering teams, including onboarding and performance management
- You are passionate about and have a proven track record shipping high-quality products
- You are comfortable taking ambiguous requirements and creating a plan with measurable and tangible outcomes, as well as getting buy-in from stakeholders
- You have deep experience in frontend technologies, proficient in CSS, TypeScript, and React, and are able to navigate through technical challenges for both yourself and other engineers working with you
- You have a track record of leading and operating code in production
- You understand the value of driving efficiencies through automation, orchestration, and partnerships with external teams
- You are experienced in working and communicating effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, distributed organization
