Alternative Credit Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Alternative Credit team as a Structured Finance Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring natural catastrophes and analyzing the exposure of counterparties to these events.
Main Responsibilities- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on insurance linked securities (cat bonds) in the primary market and organize investment committees with the ILS team, risk management, and traders.
- Select a pool of similar assets and use the selected pool of assets to price new deals.
- Get characteristics of events and losses for (re)insurers and the market using web scraping, text mining, and NLP to extract information, format it, and import it into the front office tool called Ouranos.
- Get reports (for example, reset reports) using web scraping, extract data, perform data cleaning and formatting using various inputs.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in math, physics, finance, actuarial, or computer/data science. You should have proven quantitative analysis experience gained in an insurance, asset management, or financial markets environment.
You will be efficient, proactive, well-organized, and have high attention to detail. You will be asked to demonstrate some degree of autonomy to respond in a timely fashion to urgent requests. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
You will be fluent in English and agile in data management (R, Python, VBA). You will be curious, rigorous, and a team player with the ability to work under pressure.
