We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Alternative Credit team as an Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring natural catastrophes and analyzing the exposure of counterparties to these events.
Main Responsibilities- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on insurance linked securities (cat bonds) in the primary market and organize investment committees with the ILS team, risk management, and traders.
- Select a pool of similar assets to price new deals.
- Extract information on natural catastrophes and losses for reinsurers and the market using web scraping, text mining, and NLP techniques.
- Monitor ILS instruments and get reports using web scraping, extract data, perform data cleaning, and formatting.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in math, physics, finance, actuarial science, or computer science. Proven quantitative analysis experience in an insurance, asset management, or financial markets environment is essential. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also required.
