About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Security team, you will play a crucial role in securing our networks, operating systems, containers, pipelines, and code. Your expertise will enable us to reduce the impact of threats to Parity and its products, bolstering their resilience against potential cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Advise Infra Engineering and IT teams on security topics and support their work from a security standpoint, maintaining a practical approach with a focus on risk-based areas such as automation, security hardening, supply chain security, and metrics and monitoring/audits.
- Organize and perform penetration testing of our infrastructure, collaborating with external parties on those tests.
- Pick tools, methods, and approaches to maintain and improve the security stance of the company, with a strong preference for FOSS tooling.
- Write and enable adoption of company-wide security standards and guidelines, implementing tools and automation to facilitate their deployment.
- Mentor other team members on all matters related to security and IT and infrastructure engineering.
- A focus on outcomes rather than activities and outcome-based delivery.
- Leadership experience within a team of skilled DevSecOps professionals, ideally with experience of leading and growing a team.
- Ability to partner with multiple teams to tackle issues, clarifying requirements, communicating, and convincing them.
- Comfortable with a Linux-based tech stack, including managed VMs, SSH, VPNs, firewalls.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Github, Gitlab, ArgoCD, Image registries, and various cloud platforms, including Google Cloud and non-managed providers.
- Understanding of blockchain tech and associated tooling, such as wallets, keys, RPC nodes, and indexers.
