We are building a team of talented engineers who can help us achieve this goal. As a Tech Lead Backend Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our product and leading a team of engineers to build a robust and scalable product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help with architecture decisions to ensure we build a robust and scalable product while maintaining a great pace of delivery.
  • Lead an engineering squad of 5.
  • Help build and scale the product, the team, and the underlying tech while ensuring good practices.
  • Contribute to the team's continuous improvement with new ideas, processes, and tools.
  • Build a robust and scalable micro-service architecture to handle requests, invoices, and payments, and create smart automations and integrations to other tools.
  • Conceive and implement complex features like a dynamic form builder, workflows engine, budget, and analytics.
  • Leverage AI to boost our users' productivity.

Requirements

  • You have 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • You are fluent in English - it is our business language.
  • You are proactive, able to prioritize, and willing to thrive in our rapidly growing startup environment and contribute energetically to our collective success.
  • You pay close attention to details, an excellent listener, and a valuable team member.
  • You have strong programming skills (e.g. Java Spring Boot, or Kotlin / Scala / C# / Rugby / Go / Python).
  • You have an end-to-end understanding of backend systems (database, authentication, API, security, performance…).
  • You have a strong knowledge of microservices architectures.
  • You are rigorous about best practices (e.g. technical design, testing, code reviews, documentation, maintenance…).
