Overview: In the realm of Renewable Energy, particularly within Offshore HVDC, this role is pivotal for advancing our business objectives, especially in regions with ambitious renewable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Oversee and manage the global timeline of engineering tasks, ensuring adherence to engineering budgets and quality standards.
- Technical Supervision: Facilitate comprehensive technical coordination across various work packages within large-scale projects.
- Delivery Management: Strategically plan and manage the timely delivery of technical interfaces, collaborating with partners, clients, and third-party contractors.
- Change Management: Assist in engineering change management for large and complex projects, supporting the Project Engineering Director and Project Integration Manager.
- Interface Management: Develop and implement design strategies in collaboration with engineering management.
- Documentation Control: Manage and track the evolution of project documentation, ensuring effective management of feedback and approval processes.
- Cost Optimization: Evaluate design effectiveness against contractual requirements, seeking opportunities for cost optimization throughout all design phases.
- Design Review: Define and conduct project design reviews as per engineering management guidelines.
- Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement teams during negotiations and manage technical interfaces with suppliers and partners.
- Site Support: Provide assistance during site preparation, construction, and commissioning phases as necessary.
- Safety Leadership: Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing effective prevention measures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including 2 to 4 projects as a Project Engineering Manager in an EPC environment, particularly in T&D, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Expertise in relevant disciplines, including processes, tools, and technical aspects.
- Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams with diverse interfaces and international products.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience as a Technical Leader in an international context is preferred.
