Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing global time schedules, coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring on-time delivery of design to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage global time schedules of concerned engineering activities and ensure coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities.
- Plan and manage delivery time of technical interfaces with your work package and put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customer, and third-party contractors.
- Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including Partner documents.
- Support Project Engineering Director and Project I&I manager in the engineering change management for large & complex projects.
- Lead & coordinate design teams and follow the engineering budget to identify potential savings and highlight to the Project Manager all instances requiring additional budget.
- Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the EMH procedures and per the project strategy.
- Manage scope or design changes & prepare related claims and VO to be approved by Project Engineering Director or Project Manager.
- Analyse customer technical requirements, prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical Queries, identify, track, manage potential change.
- Represent customer interests in the design decisions at Project Manager's request.
- Validate design throughout customer acceptance.
- Ensure that Management of return status of project documentation internal or external (approved, comments, resubmit, rejected) is performed for your work package.
- Prepare or review technical specifications and supplier's documents to enable procurement of materials and plant detailed design.
- Check effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimisation in all design phase and mainly during basic design.
- Engineering degree level or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience of Engineering activities as lead engineer in EPC type environment.
- Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team's context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries.
- Knowledge of the Transmission or Distribution industry is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are advantageous.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Renewable Energy systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of GIS systems is beneficial.
