Airbus Helicopters is seeking a M&A Senior Manager (f/m) to enhance our Company Development division located in Marignane, France.
As a vital member of the Strategy function at Airbus Helicopters, the M&A team is tasked with the initiation and execution of M&A and Joint Venture projects. This team currently consists of 6 Senior Managers, supported by dedicated Finance, Legal, and HR professionals.
The Senior Manager will play a crucial role in advancing Airbus Helicopters' M&A strategies. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating the origination of M&A opportunities
- Structuring and negotiating M&A / JV agreements with external stakeholders, while managing the internal approval workflow
- Overseeing the successful execution of transactions

Key Responsibilities:- Manage all phases of M&A projects from target identification to execution and integration preparation
- Conduct financial modeling for acquisitions, disposals, or JV cases, coordinate necessary stakeholders, negotiate with sellers, buyers, or partners, and present to executive management
- Oversee project management for opportunities
- Collaborate with external advisors, including investment bankers, lawyers, auditors, and strategy consultants
- Ensure optimal transaction execution and risk identification
- Education: Strong academic background in Finance and/or Engineering
- Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language (preferably French or German) is required
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of approximately 10 years of M&A experience, either in an advisory role (investment banking/big-4 TAS) or within an in-house corporate development team, with a proven track record of successful transactions
- Experience in the aerospace and defense sector is a significant advantage
- Ability to synthesize information while maintaining a strategic vision for the projects managed
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in risk assessment, deal structuring, and execution
- Proficient in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, partners, and financial institutions
- Excellent negotiation skills and capability to collaborate with various parties involved in deal structuring
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative, with the ability to drive projects forward without formal authority
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a high-performance culture
- Energetic, positive, and motivated, with a resilient attitude
- Curious and intellectually agile, enthusiastic about working in an international context
