M&A Senior Manager
About the Role:Airbus Helicopters is seeking a highly skilled M&A Senior Manager to join our Company Development department based in Marignane, France.
The successful candidate will be part of the Strategy function of Airbus Helicopters and will contribute to the origination and execution of M&A and JV projects.
The M&A department of Airbus Helicopters is comprised of 6 Senior Managers, with dedicated Finance, Legal and HR support.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the origination of M&A deals
- Structure and negotiate M&A / JV transactions with external parties, and manage the internal approval process
- Oversee the successful completion of transactions
Marignane is a dynamic city in the southeast of France, located near the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, which host a rich cultural and tourist offer.

- Cover all steps of M&A projects from target identification until execution and preparation for integration
- This includes financial modelling of an acquisition / disposal / JV case, coordination of necessary stakeholders, negotiation with the seller / buyer / partner, presentation to executive management, and in general the entire project management of the opportunity
- Coordinate with external advisors (investment bankers, lawyers, auditors, strategy consultants...)
- Ensure the optimal execution of the transaction and identification of risks associated
- Education: Strong education in Finance and/or engineering background
- Languages: Complete fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in a second language is required (ideally French or German)
The successful candidate for this role needs to possess the following skills and competencies:
- The successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of ~10 years of M&A experience gained either in an advisory capacity (investment banking/big-4 TAS) or in an in-house corporate development team, with a clear track record of successfully executing transactions
- Prior aerospace & defence industry expertise is a clear distinguishing factor
- Synthetic and able to keep in mind the overall vision of the transactions/projects he/she manages
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in risk analysis, deal structuring and execution
- Ability to work with a high diversity of stakeholders (e.g., clients, partners, financial institutions)
- Negotiating skills and ability to work with other parties involved in structuring deals, from lawyers to accountants to investment banks
- Balanced and transparent, he/she has got solid communication skills, both oral and written
- Leadership and drive, in particular capacity to keep moving topics forward without formal hierarchical authority to do so
- Adaptable, he/she will be able to cope with a high-performance culture without any arrogance
- Energetic, positive, passionate and strongly motivated individual, that is not easily deterred
- Curiosity and intellectual agility, the candidate is enthusiastic about working in an international environment
