About the Position:
Metier Interim Bordeaux is seeking a Marine Rigging Specialist.
The primary responsibility of a marine rigger is to set up all mobile apparatus utilized for maneuvering a vessel, including ropes, sails, and pulleys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and evaluate all equipment intended to support the sails.
- Prepare and install the Mast and Main sail.
- Engage in specific tests on the waterway.
- The rigger is involved in the piloting and preparation of the rigging systems (objects and propulsion mechanisms for sailing and maneuvering) of vessels. This includes inspecting the lifting devices used for hoisting, relocating, and positioning various equipment. The rigger is also responsible for cutting, splicing, and fitting ropes sourced from manufacturing companies.
Whether working independently or as part of a team, the rigger operates in a workshop, on the deck of a vessel under construction, or on sailboats at the marina. Adherence to safety protocols is essential to mitigate risks.

Skilled handyman (experience in rigging is advantageous)

Commitment to a long-term position (2-year training is necessary)
Physical Demands:
The role requires the ability to lift heavy loads.
