Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Development Engineer to manage a team of 4 software engineers. The successful candidate will oversee the development of a Python scientific engine for a business use case and ensure compliance with internal standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute directly to the code base, either individually or in pairs
  • Organize knowledge-sharing sessions to benefit the team
  • Ensure adherence to internal standards and practices
  • Present progress and goals to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap through architecture meetings and design documents
  • Lead and coach the software engineer team to deliver according to their roadmap
  • Provide expertise to help the team develop, optimize, and update software for risk models, data collection, visualization, and export of outputs
  • Support, test, and correct tools for continuous development and integration, data storage, version management, and modularization
Requirements
  • 1+ year of technical management experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or data scientist
  • Solid knowledge of Python and engineering principles
  • Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and production development workflow
