About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Development Engineer to join our Data, Software, and DevOps team. As a technical lead, you will oversee the development of our python scientific engine and ensure compliance with internal standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute directly to the code base, either individually or in pairs
  • Organize knowledge-sharing sessions with the team
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and practices
  • Present progress and goals to the team
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap through architecture meetings and design documents
  • Lead and coach a team of software engineers to deliver according to their roadmap
  • Provide expertise to help the team develop, optimize, and update software for risk models, data collection, visualization, and export of outputs
Requirements
  • 1+ year of technical management experience
  • Experience mentoring a team of software engineers
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or data scientist
  • Solid knowledge of Python, engineering background, and experience with Docker
