About the Role
CNIM is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in La Seyne sur Mer. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating the technical development of complex mechanical systems and subsystems for defense applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project requirements and participate in the development of technical proposals
- Conduct feasibility studies and lead the development of mechanical systems and subsystems
- Define technical orientations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and performance criteria
- Lead technical teams and ensure the development and qualification of mechanical systems and subsystems
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
- Provide technical assistance and support during project execution, installation, and commissioning
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design and project management, preferably in the defense industry
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. CREO) and mechanical analysis tools (e.g. ANSYS, RDM7)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel for client and supplier meetings
