Team Overview:
Joining the Group Ceded Reinsurance team means contributing to the overall earnings stability of AXA Group worldwide. Our mission is to support the development of our entities while optimizing and securing reinsurance programs across all AXA businesses.
Your Role:
As a Reinsurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, analyzing, and establishing strategic underwriting approaches for incoming reinsurance business on behalf of AXA SA. You will also be responsible for structuring and placing the Specialty Group Cover, which safeguards all AXA subsidiaries against ceded risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee approximately 50 treaties for both AXA SA and AXA XL, focusing on various lines of business including Liability, Specialties, and Cyber.
- Prepare underwriting committees to assess risks associated with AXA subsidiaries.
- Structure programs for your designated risk portfolio in alignment with Group risk appetite.
- Collaborate closely with AXA entities, particularly AXA XL, to place reinsurance programs and ensure effective broker engagement.
- Work in conjunction with the actuarial department and relevant lines of business within AXA entities.
Specific Responsibilities for AXA XL:
- Analyze AXA XL portfolios to be reinsured and monitor treaty results.
- Conduct annual reviews of reinsurance treaty terms and conditions to ensure alignment with AXA Group Cover contracts.
- Coordinate actuarial studies conducted by AXA XL and AXA GIE teams.
- Engage with AXA XL underwriting teams and contribute to identifying reinsurance structures that protect AXA XL's results and balance sheet.
- Participate in negotiations regarding reinsurance terms and conditions with AXA XL, brokers, and reinsurers.
Expected Outcomes:
- Define appropriate Specialty reinsurance solutions for the Group, including capacities, structure wordings, and pricing.
- Negotiate and ensure the placement of Specialty protections in accordance with Group standards.
- Maintain effective communication and reporting within the AXA Group Specialty Reinsurance community.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Law.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Specialty insurance.
- Familiarity with insurance and reinsurance techniques, products, and markets.
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment.
Languages:
- Proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written).
