Technical Account Manager - Strategic Industries

At Amazon, we're looking for a skilled Technical Account Manager to join our Strategic Industries team. As a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with our customers to understand their business needs and drivers, providing expert guidance on AWS cloud services and technologies.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in operational parameters and troubleshooting, with experience in technical domains such as Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, and Security. You'll be responsible for developing trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs, and providing monthly/quarterly metrics to assist with pre-launch planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop trusting relationships with customers and understand their business needs/drivers.
  2. Utilize technical skills to solve difficult support issues and technical challenges.
  3. Understand operational parameters and troubleshooting processes for customer issues and escalations.
  4. Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development.
  5. Improve customer capabilities by running workshops, operations, and architecture reviews.
  6. Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing costs and driving efficiencies to mitigate risks in customer operations plans and product adoption.
  7. Work with customers across all levels from developers through to C-Suite executives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 3+ years experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for at least two of the following technical domains: Compute/Storage/Networking/CDN/Databases/DevOps/Big Data and Analytics/Security/Applications Development in a distributed systems environment.
  2. Experience in operational services or support environment.
  3. Working with engineering/technology teams for large customers or a major segment of a large entity in the Public Sector, Enterprise or Start-up industry.
  4. Fluency in English and French Language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Technical internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience.
  2. Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more decision maker(s).
  3. Experience in influencing management stakeholders on technical, operational or business strategic decisions.
  4. Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings.
