About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Rights Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Deezer. As a key member of our Music Rights team, you will be responsible for acquiring music rights from independent labels and managing existing licenses. This is an exciting opportunity to take a global view of the music industry and work with a diverse range of rightsholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire music rights from independent labels for both D2C and B2B opportunities in all markets where Deezer is or will be operating
  • Analyze financial impact of labels acquisition and costs
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and music industry moves
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with internal teams to ensure compliance with contracts with labels
  • Negotiate with labels for new developments or offers that support Deezer's objectives
Requirements
  • 2 years experience within the music, content or entertainment industry
  • Relationship management experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Hybrid profile: comfortable working with contracts and excel modeling
  • Broad understanding of copyright and legal environment within the music industry
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, business-oriented/commercial approach
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a plus
