Job Title: Music Rights Acquisition Specialist

Join Deezer's Music Rights team as a Music Rights Acquisition Specialist and take on a global view of the music industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling existing and new licenses, managing and negotiating licenses from independent recording companies globally, and developing key relationships with rights holders and acquiring new catalogues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the team in handling long-term relationships with independent actors in the music industry
  • Acquire music rights from independent labels for both D2C and B2B opportunities in all markets where Deezer operates
  • Analyze the financial impact of label acquisition and costs
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and music industry moves
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with contracts with labels
  • Negotiate with labels on new developments or offers to support Deezer's objectives
  • Be the business point of contact for labels and a Deezer spokesperson towards the industry
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in the music, content, or entertainment industry
  • Relationship management experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Hybrid profile: comfortable working with contracts and excel modeling
  • Broad understanding of copyright and legal environment within the music industry
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, business-oriented/commercial approach
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a plus
  • Capacity to work cross-functionally
